Project GhostRyder - Renewable-energy-powered Catamaran, from pipedream to reality #1

In the recent months I've been hooked into everything renewable-powered, from cars to solar farms. After endless YouTube clicks into the search of the ultimate solar solution I was accidentally hooked into sailing and living aboard on a boat as well! The idea of self-sustainable living would be a wonderful idea.

In order to live economically and comfortably in the sea, regenerate power is essential (plus food and food of course!). Even thou power generation from conventional means can achieve this goal, present and near-future technology could take this further. So I was thinking to myself, why not really look into it and build something that's truly unique and can tick every dream box which I have in mind!

So here it is, the start of a passion project, to BUILD a renewable-energy-powered catamaran! It might be a dead-end; a waste of time, but since I'm spending a lot of time thinking of it already, why not spending a little more and actually try to make it happen!

Too little too late?

When it comes to something which you treasure so much it's always devastating that the progress is far from your own projection, ultimately led to disappointment and the what ifs...

Some things ones could amend after digging into the reasoning; some are just  different fundamentally...

Sometimes, maybe it's better to call it a day and move on...

First move

Seems like only yesterday when everything started...

One way or another it will be done, it's either the easy way or the hard way.

Let's wait and see how everything pans out.

Ghost's Goat Resolution

Looking back at the year before, it was all about laying! Laying foundation and laying waste! Whether it proves to be fruitful or not I'll find out this year, in eagerness!

Things happened last year was like a humongous rollercoaster, on the face of it there were done achievements and mostly waste.

Very energy-zapping indeed...

This year things WILL be very different, this I could promise. If course I can't reveal much at the moment but hopefully by the end of the year there'll be a lot of achievements that will make me proud...

All in all, this needs to be the year I have to make a name for myself.

Getting Readied

A week after the ordering of the stuff for Prince Grande everything has arrived. We now not only have gears for the water but also the Indoboard for some training / playing around at home. Both he and Prince Petit are really exciting with the Indoboard and had been draging out the gears out everyday to play with.

Nice!!!

We got him the Liquid Force Nemesis 118 setup and fit quite well on Prince Grande although his feets are still a wee bit too small for the binding. In a way it's good as he bounds to take a lot of crashed in the water to begin with and having a not-so-tight bindings could ease those crashes a bit. Not to mention the benefits from the extra swimming he needs to do to fetch the board after the crashes!

The focus now is to make sure he can swim well in the water and be bothered to change breathes when he's swimming, a MUST in order to get the consent from his mom to ride.

Keep swimming, keep swimming.....

Passing the wakeboarding torch!

The moment has arrived!

It has long been a dream to be riding with my kid and the past Sunday was the day!

A promise made to my wife that I won't be hitting the water while she was pregnant. We met while wakeboarding and at the moment I knew she was pertinent I knew if I was to hit the water she would be sooooo jealous!

Six years on, I was back in water for the first time, with her and our first kid!

He whined and cried a bit when he was in the boat as it was really noisy from the engine and it was a strange encounter to him. But soon he got used to it, barely!it

Friend on the boat went in first throw big jumps and grabs but he was still accommodating with the environment so he wasn't really into it... until wife and I hit the water! He was so excited by it and was waving and cheering the whole time, I'll take it as being hooked! So just now I've ordered the Nemesis set online (together with some spanking new gear for myself of course!), can't wait for them to arrive and really hitting the water together. Hopefully by the end of summer! Note to self, get in shape man! Feel the bloody muscle pain. The pain is soooo good and a nice reminder of my youth!

One of those days..

Post CNY, cold, grimmy day... the heart kinda sunk with the atmosphere. Motivation have dropped with it, not good! Really need to find a way to reboot!
